Japanese W/ high school international students

On Monday we had languages with the high school international students. They were japanese and they read us two stories. The first story was called Princess Kaguya. It was quite short but a good story, then we listened to another story. It was called Peach Boy. That was a slightly longer but the illustrations were amazing. The high school kids had drawn them from scratch.

Next we watched a really impressive karate performance, she was a black belt and proved it too! She was amazing.

Next we did some origami. We learnt how to make a crane and it was hard and This is what it was supposed to look like...

Mine looked OK, but very different. I quickly tried to make a second, but it sort of failed but that changed quickly. We were next making a ninja star. I had made these plenty of times before. Here is an example...

In the end I made around six, and I was very proud. I loved languages today.

Project process(Script)

We are currently writing the scripts on our science experiments. We have an intro script and a script  for each experiment. We are making fluffy slime, changing colour of a flower and rainbow in a cup. Each script/ Video there will be how to make it and the science behind the experiment. Here is the link to the doc with all our scripts.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qdE7S9Iiu2GIrAXFipF59S9LqWEiV0VnwIOtXJUvxTg/edit.

Amy's math workshop➗

On Tuesday I had my first math workshop for term 3.

In the workshop we were getting rid of a bunch of link-ed goals. I got rid of 1 literacy goal and several number goals (around 10) . This group will probably suit my stage in math. I will be excited when our next workshop comes around.

Trust licence

On the first day of school, we had an interesting surprise. Our trust licenses were getting wiped of all our programs. We were starting again and changing it. This is how it works now.

 Supported:
In this category you have a set working space have no access to LC5 or breakout space without any teachers. You can go on devices but no unsupervised unless your in your set spot

No man's land:
This is where you get to move around anywhere LC7 but have to ask before you take a device in any breakout space. No unsupervised access into LC5.

Trust licence:

You can go anywhere in the school if you tell the teacher. You are allowed to go to LC5 un supervised. Devices can be brought anywhere. You have great trust.

All of us started on No man's land Some people disagree some agree. It was an interesting decision

Rollercoaster Design

For Amy's immersion we went on a website where you could make your own  rollercoaster. We had to make it safe and fun. Here is my first attempt:

That went on for ages and I got really excited when I saw the top one was correct and then I got a closer look:

I finally got it right!

Yay

Immersion follow up

We were doing an info video on our experiment and our test went well as you will/have seen it needs more information in the actual thing! The bloopers were almost longer than our real video. I needs more work thats for sure.
