This is my follow up for maths. Hope you like it!

Performance with Jess

In session 2 with Jess we made shapes and we used  body bace level. Me, Rhiannon, Anjani, Julia, Nikolai and Troy. First, we had to make something with high and low body base. We had 5 mins to do it. It was a bit complicated at first, but, we managed to create a thing.

Our second shape, we had use medium and low. We had a chat about what we could do. We chose to have me in the middle. 

Performance with Jess #3

Today we went to Jess's Immersion on performance. Session 3 was really fun and helped with drama skills and first we played a game.Everyone except 1 person had a chair. The person with no chair stood in the middle and says a statement like: Anyone who likes chocolate. If you like chocolate then you have to run and find a seat. It's like musical chair's but you are sitting down when you start. We played and one of the questions I asked was "anyone who has been to China."No one moved at first. Then slowly Jess stood up. Since there was only us we had to swap places. This game was drama realated because you had to Speak clearly, Move around, Improvise and Listen. We played that for a while then we went on to another activity. We had to get into groups of 4 and then create a play that had to contain the words: 

1. Peach
2. Winter
3. Excited 

The group consisted of Radha, Rhiannon, Anjani and I. I had an idea about a newscast type theme. This is what we came up with:

Grace: Hello and welcome to BBC news. Today we will be talking about peaches.

Radha: So Anjani, I hear you are a great farmer. How do you feel now winter is over.

Anjani: I'm very excited

Radha: What about you Rhiannon?

Rhiannon: I am excited because in winter peach's don't grow very fast, so we will be expecting a lot more peach's this season.

Grace: How do you feel about winter peach's?

Anjani and Rhiannon: BLAHHHH!

Rhiannon: Come on, let's get out of here!

(PAUSE)

Grace: They sounded like Sheep.

Radha: Speaking of sheep...

Grace and Radha: Spring holidays!

We showed this performance to the rest of the group and got a few comments. One was we had some humor and another was we spoke clearly. We finished off by watching other's creations and then our immersion with Jess was over.

Project with Amy & Chris

On Tuesday the 25th of September we started our first session with Amy and Chris. We went to the park for the second time and we were told to be more creative with our ideas. I decided to bring an ipod to take a few photo's. As we walked to the playground we were given ideas on what to think about: What would older student want in the playground? Would it be safe? What do people enjoy in our current playground? And where should we put it?

When we reached the park, me and a few others decided to have a look at some things that we didn't focus on as much on the first trip. We sat on the equipment everyone calls the "Stegosaurus.” We were thinking about how we could create a fruit bowl full of climbable fruit. We wrote down some extra idea's adding to the ones last week. We took a few photo's of how to use it and the amount of people that were playing on it. We got back to class and had a chat about.

Bruce Mason Centre

On Tuesday the 19th of September we went to the Bruce Mason Centre.  We worked on creativity as that was what our projects were based around. First we did some backstage work and I told the witch's in the story to go on stage. At the back there was a TV where you can watch stuff on stage. 

Next we watched a show created by the other group of our class. It was about:

 4 children trying to rescue their friend from out of a cage. The witch's are guarding it. The children manage to rescue her, but get caught and one of the witch's say "we have a plan for all you children!"

Then it was morning tea.

Then we did an activity upstairs and did a reflection on a show they did about sound. While we did that half of us including me went to listen to an acting thing. We listened and followed the instructions and I found it really interesting.

Immersion with Helen and Nicole

Session 1: Missed it

Today we were working on history and timelines and we did a recap. last time they were finding out all they could about the picture. Then we moved onto things that includ maths. Helen told us that we would have to get into a group of 3 ( Anjani, Rhiannon and I) and do some working out. We did some things on maps. On page 290 it had some info on maps:

After this we turned to page 300 we read the info of longatude and latitude:

i)050 ° N / 090° W = Thunder Bay

ii) 055 ° N / 080° W = James Bay

iii) 062 ° N / 138° W = Yellowknife  
 We got them all correct!

It was a good catch up session!

Liv's Immersion#2

Today we had a look at all of the photo's we took and grabbed some post it notes. On the notes we wrote what we thought of the photo's and we had to describe it. Then we shared our finding's with the group. I thought that the picture we had was colourful. Then we went on to a different thing. We were given more post it notes and another piece of paper. This time we had to think about if it had movement or not and some other things. This was a fun workshop and I think that it helped me decide which activity i will choose.

Liv's immersion #1

On Liv's immersion we went to the high school to take photo's of signs. It was a good place to do this as the high school had all its wall covered in inperationel signs. Rhiannon, Anjani and I used an Ipad to take lots of photo's. We looked through classrooms and lots of other places like the music room. On the way back we had a reflection on what we saw and how we could decorate our school.

Jono's last immersion

On Thursday we had our last immersion with Jono. I think that overall that I liked athis project and what we did. In the last session we started to print...

We also did a blog post!. It was so much fun!

Immersion w/Jono⇑

Today we had immersion with Jono and we were focusing on making/designing a new playground. The teacher's organised for us to go to a nearby playground and we wrote down some ideas on what we could build. I loved some of the things like a swing. Bunt there were some ideas I thought were a bit more for young kids as we are fousing on creating a senior park.

🅰dventure Park🌟

On Friday the 1st of September LC7 went to Silverdale Adventure Park. I think that it was a fun trip. All of the rides were fun alough it was disappointing for some people as on most rides you had to be 40 KGs over. My favourite ride was the shooting star. On this ride you get held down while the bungy's got stretched but then you get released. Thats when you got flung up into the air and I screamed. There was other rides as well:Luge, 7D movie theatre, Dual zipline, Spaceship simulator and tube slide. Our day went like this. My whole group did the luge then we went on the tube slide.
Next me and Siobahan and Christella went on the dual zipline. Then Rhiannon, Anjani, Christella and I all went on the space simulator. After that we went to had some lunch, but we quickly got back to action. We had a go on 7D movie theatre! We watchen a scary one. Then we went onthe luge again. After then we went on  the shooting star! Next we tried to go on the luge but it was closed so we went down in a trailor. It was a fun day.
